Happy Holidays Dear Friends!

Wishing you all the merriest and jolliest of times, despite the circumstances. Today I am here to hopefully bring about a little bit of cheer and share with you a spectacular way to get into the Holiday spirit. One word - staycation!

Now the most difficult part of this 2020 Holiday season is of course how problematic gathering with loved ones has become. I am extremely lucky to be able to spend Christmas with my immediate family - brother, sister, mother, father and puppy - but I know that there are a lot of people who will be spending Christmas with either part of their family or no family at all. Because of this, I wanted to make sure that I was sharing a way for everyone to add a little pep into their Holiday step.

Enter, AirBnB.

This Thanksgiving, my family and I were absolutely gutted that we couldn’t spend the holiday with our extended family (bringing our normal Thanksgiving from around 24 down to 5). To make sure that we found a way to make the Holiday special in it’s own way, we decided to leave our home and spend Thanksgiving in a beautiful AirBnb instead.

People thought we were crazy to pack up all our things (yes, that includes a 25lb. turkey plus enough extras to make mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, broccoli, two kinds of stuffing, a chocolate cake, pecan chocolate cookies….well you get the idea) and cook a full thanksgiving meal in our AirBnB. Not only did we do it, we had an absolute BLAST. More importantly, we were able to make our 2020 Thanksgiving special despite the current, unfortunate reality.

So today I am here with a curated list of AirBnB’s top staycation destinations from around the USA. If you can’t find one within the state you live, do what we did and make a roadtrip out of it!

As many of you know (or maybe don’t know) my family and I have taken this virus very seriously. So seriously that - while unfortunate to admit - we have been heckled by friends and family to loosen up. That to say, we felt incredibly safe in our AirBNB. Everything was properly sanitized, spotless, and in it’s right place. We were so pleasantly surprised - I could not recommend it more!
